Since somebody woke me up early this morning with a phone call I decided to go out and try riding my bike on the Lower Cairo Road. It joins Highway 93 at the Ochlocknee River and comes out on Pinetree Boulevard west of Thomasville. I was only planning to ride until I drank half my water and then turn around. It was 74°F outside when I got up, but it was going up towards the predicted high of 96°F as fast as it could.

I thought it would be a good day because there would be no traffic on a holiday. Nobody working on the plantations. Here’s what I saw.
